Lichten Craig was hired by the cooperative association of this limestone and brick French Renaissance Chicago building, designed by Rosario Candela and McNally & Quinn to transform a small, ground floor garden apartment into a fitness center for the building's shareholders. Taking inspiration from the moldings and paneling of the building's lobbies, Lichten Craig clad the room with light, mirrored panels that reflect the light and garden beyond. LIchten Craig worked closely with the building management and board of directors to create a fitness center with areas to stretch, lift weights, and use the cardio machines along with a new bathroom and storage areas.
